My name is Michelle Rabun. I’m a proud wife to my wonderful “superman” husband, Shane Rabun, and a stay at home mom to three awesome, and let’s not forget, active boys! Hunter is my 7 year old first grader; Fisher is my 4 year old wanna be first grader; and lastly is my sweet, but sneaky, 2 year old Ryder. We live on a 5000 acre farm, which I have to admit, is not where I grew up thinking I would be! Instead I was one of those girls who imagined a BIG city somewhere!...  Boy oh boy! Who would’ve ever known the plans the Lord had waiting for me! 

After the birth of my first son, my husband and I decided I would stay at home with him.  And look at us, THREE boys later, and one worn out Mommy! I’ve always loved being at home with my children. It’s one of the most difficult, yet most rewarding things I have ever experienced! So as I became more and more consumed in this new life with my children, I began to feel there was still a part of me missing. I knew I didn’t want to leave my children and go to work, but I needed an outlet just for ‘me’! (As all you mommies can relate to!) As the years continued to pass, and 3-0 was quickly approaching, I began to feel a little disappointed that I had not become the “career woman” I once envisioned myself as.  What would I do once my children were all in school?? Reality hit me!

So I began praying about it, trusting the Lord would open a door for me in His right timing, as He always does! Little did I know… he had this little gift, sealed with a bow, already there waiting on me! The more I prayed, the more subtle signs He provided. 

My entire life I’ve dabbled in crafts. My friends would tease and call me "Martha Stewart”! I had a tendency to put my own personal touch, on just about everything. Friends and family began to receive compliments on gifts I had given them, and received requests for my work! (At the time I would have never considered it work…just fun!)…..slowly I began to realize the potential from all the requests, as well as the overwhelming joy I received from fulfilling them!!  I found myself creating more and more projects. My best friend coined my work as "Mbellishing" because of my desire to make things ‘just a little bit prettier’…. hence "Mbellish It!".  

From there things really started to take off and it FINALLY dawned on me...."This might just be what the Lord has planned for my life." I can do something I actually love, and at the same time share my love for the Lord through my work... WOW!! 

But as we all know, even in the most proud sure moments, there’s that enemy who likes to fill us with doubts.  After one of those discouraging days of attempting to paint, while being overwhelmed with my boys, I started reading my Bible and praying about my work. I was feeling extremely frustrated and wondering what was the point anyways?...."Why am I even attempting to do this with three boys at home?"  The Lord then took me to 2 Corinthians 9:12... "This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gifts."  I knew right then that God had given me this gift to share with others. He has given me the opportunity in my work to utilize both joys - my artistic creativity, and most importantly, my love for the Lord! Wow, what an awesome God we serve!

So here I am…yes, just a country farmer's wife in the middle of nowhere, using what God has given me. And may I add….couldn’t be happier! This website is so dear to me. God directed and showed me every detail, step by step, and I have enjoyed EVERY minute of it!  I hope you enjoy my gifts as much as I enjoy making them.
